LOCATION
One of the major strength of ‘Villa Evelina’ is the excellent location. The property offers all the advantages of a country
house, isolated by the huge park with century-old trees, in which you will feel as in a nineteenth century movie .
On the other hand Villa Evelina is only 40 minute (30Km) far from Milan city center. This makes the house/mansion perfect
for those who have to be in the city for business or leisure on a weekly basis.
The town of Villa D’Adda is less than 1Km far and it is characterized by the presence of historic mansions and panoramic
promenades. Moreover the west side of the village is situated on the bend of the Adda-River, which is well-known over the world
for its splendid landscapes and extraordinary natural environment that gave inspiration also to several paintings of Leonardo
Da Vinci (the Renaissance Genius). Leonardo Da Vinci ideated also the unique ferry that moves back and forth between the two
banks by making use of the water flow. The Ferry connects Villa D’Adda with Imbersago, an ancient village rich of beautiful
churches and monuments of historical interest. The closeness with the river Adda is perfect for walking and excursion, and
also for relaxation and recreation activities as trekking, biking, canoeing.
‘Villa Evelina’ is only 15 Km distance from the Lake of Como, which is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful lakes
of Europe, surrounded by mountains with peaks up to 2700 meters.. The area has been a touristic attraction since ancient times
and nowadays many VIPs have homes near the lake (such as George Clooney, Madonna, Gianni Versace, etc).
The nature of the region is uncontaminated: lake Como has a large variety of fish species. Many are typical freshwater
fish like trout and pike. Many bird species populate the lake area and many of these are protected. There are various species
of duck, diving ducks, swans, cormorants, gulls and herons. The valley and surrounding peaks are populated by wild boar, roe
deer, foxes, hares and deer while the skies are often home to falcons and buzzards.
